Three Star Books announces an immediate and surprising sequel to “The Billboard Book Project (Paris)” a publication conceived by British artist Jonathan Monk, designed by German designers Vier5, and  published in Paris, January 2010.
The initial project, is a billboard actually produced in Paris which describes the method of its own making, was subsequently cut into book form, and exists as both a public project and as a bound object.
During Monk’s recent sojourn for the launch of this project , the artist noticed that posters in the Paris Métro were occasionally covered with green printed paper during the interval between commercial advertisements.
As a special suite to “The Billboard Book Project (Paris)” Monk expressed the wish to print a limited edition  composed solely of green monochrome offset printed pages on poster paper (the actual paper utilized by the billboard companies). The blank cover of the book is fabricated in grey cardboard.
As in the first edition, “The Billboard Book Project (Paris)” the book is signed at the colophon on a photo showing the green billboard in the Paris MОtro.
In this colorful, abstract and “negated” version of the first, beautifully designed, word-based volume, Monk reveals the sleight of hand that is his trademark as an artist.
